Join us as a Trustee – help shape the future of hospice care 

We're looking for passionate individuals to join our Hospice Board of Trustees. This is a unique opportunity to influence strategy and governance at one of the most loved charities in Hastings and Rother, ensuring exceptional palliative and end-of-life care for generations to come.  

What you'll do 

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight, ensuring the Hospice delivers on its vision and charitable purpose. 
  • Act as a guardian of our values and assets, supporting high standards of governance. 
  • Contribute expertise and insight to help shape how the organisation operates. 
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive Board and ambitious Leadership Team. 

What we're looking for 

  • Commitment to our mission and values: kindness, respect, inclusivity, innovation. 
  • Sound judgement, integrity, and ability to think strategically. 
  • Experience in areas such as volunteer impact and contribution, health and safety, property and facilities management, digital transformation, or campaigning, influencing and advocacy. We also welcome experience in other areas relevant to our work. 
  • We particularly encourage applications from women and people who identify as women, young people, and people from diverse ethnic backgrounds. 
  • No prior board experience required.

This is a voluntary role requiring around two to three days every 3 months for Board meetings, sub-committees, and site visits. Reasonable expenses reimbursed.
