Community Volunteer Opportunity

We're looking for volunteers with either admin support or community support skills, and we'll match you to tasks that suit your strengths and interests.
Location
- Community-based, Hospice, or remote depending on task
Availability
- Days: Monday–Friday
- Shifts: Flexible (typically 2–4 hours)
- Commitment: Minimum one shift per week
What You'll Be Doing
You may be involved in one or more of the following tasks:
- Befriending / Companionship: Providing emotional support and friendly conversation to reduce isolation
- Admin Support: Assisting with data entry, communications, and project coordination
- Project Start-Up: Helping launch new community initiatives with practical and promotional support
- Community Events: Supporting the planning and running of local events
- Community Navigator: Signposting individuals to relevant services and resources
- Needs Assessor: Informally assessing individual needs and helping identify appropriate support
Skills & Experience
Admin Support Skills:
- Basic IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Experience in admin or office settings (desirable)
Community Support Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills
- Awareness of local services (or willingness to learn)
- Experience in support or community roles (desirable)

- Empathetic and emotionally resilient
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organised
- Open to feedback and continuous learning
