Fundraising Events & Driver Support Volunteer Opportunity
Do you enjoy being out and about, meeting people, and making a difference in your community? Join our Fundraising Team at St Michael's Hospice and help us deliver successful events and campaigns across Hastings & Rother.
We're looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to assist with deliveries, signage, and event setup. If you're physically active and enjoy working independently or as part of a team, this could be the perfect role for you.
Location
- Hospice & Community (Hastings & Rother area)
Availability
- Days: As agreed in advance
- Shifts: Flexible, based on event needs
- Commitment: Regular volunteering with additional ad hoc support
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering and collecting roadside signs for events
- Distributing promotional materials to venues and schools
- Assisting with event setup and pack-down (e.g., gazebos, banners, t-shirts)
- Swapping collection pots and delivering fundraising packs
- Driving Hospice vehicles (if applicable) to support logistics
Skills & Experience
- Full clean driving licence (Category B) required if driving
- Comfortable driving manual vehicles, including vans
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
- Reliable timekeeping and workload management
Personal Qualities
- Friendly and approachable
- Able to work independently and follow instructions
- Positive, proactive attitude
- Confident working remotely and interacting with the public
- Open to learning and training
