Credit Control Assistant Volunteer Opportunity

Are you detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets? Join our Finance Team at St Michael's Hospice as a Credit Control Assistant and help ensure smooth financial operations behind the scenes.

We're looking for someone reliable and organised to support our invoicing and credit control processes. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a finance office while contributing to a meaningful cause.

Location

  • Finance Office, St Michael's Hospice

Availability

  • Days: One day per week
  • Shifts: Flexible daytime hours
  • Commitment: Long-term role

What You'll Be Doing

  • Raising and emailing sales ledger invoices
  • Running aged debtor reports and contacting customers for payment updates
  • Updating spreadsheets with payment status comments
  • Liaising with departments regarding invoicing and payments
  • Maintaining confidentiality and data security
  • Reviewing and archiving paper files securely
  • Performing general office duties and using email for customer communication

Skills & Experience

  • Basic IT and Excel skills
  • Familiarity with sales ledger processes and accounts packages
  • Understanding of office procedures and data protection
  • Ability to follow instructions and seek help when needed
