The death of someone close to you may feel devastating and overwhelming. The grief that follows the loss is a normal human journey – albeit a very difficult and painful one.
Our Bereavement Service provides you with the opportunity to talk about your loss in confidence and is available to anyone throughout Hastings and Rother who needs extra support through a difficult time. You don’t have to have had any previous contact with the Hospice to be able to access our support. You may decide to contact us in the first weeks or months or it may be some time later.
We are an organisational member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and offer a choice of attending individual or therapeutic group sessions as well as monthly social groups, providing an opportunity to speak with others who are bereaved.
As we move into the Christmas period, we know that this time of year can bring mixed emotions for anyone who is grieving. Grief is difficult at any time, but for many, Christmas can feel particularly challenging.
To offer gentle support during the festive season, we invite you to explore our Christmas Leaflet – Bereavement at Christmas

With your help I have been able to see the trees, the hills and the valleys and not just stand confused staring at the closed gate.
