An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lottery Initiatives Co-ordinator to be part of St Michael’s Hospice Lottery Team. Our Lottery was set up in 1997 to provide additional financial support to help maintain the much needed services provided by the Hospice. All profits from the Lottery go to support the Hospice and to date the Lottery has contributed in excess of £9 million. Deputising for the Lottery Manager, the successful candidate will work as part of this successful and busy department.
You will support the Lottery Manager in ensuring the weekly lottery draw and all associated activities are undertaken in full compliance of the Gambling Commission’s Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice and the Gambling Act (2005) and be responsible for managing all additional lottery income streams such as scratch cards. You will be responsible for identifying and managing the introduction of new lottery initiatives and responsible for the training of the extended lottery team. You will need to have experience of the Gambling Commission LCCPs, or working in a gambling environment and have exceptional interpersonal skills as well as excellent numeracy and administration skills. Candidates will also need to be able to learn new systems and processes quickly and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office, including databases. Experience of working in a busy office to deadlines and supervisory experience is essential.
