It has really stretched and developed my creativity

Wellbeing Programme attendee Jacky, got to view an exhibition of the work she produced over the past six weeks as part of the creative group, Making your Mark.

“I enjoyed my first few sessions and was beginning to enjoy crafting again when the pandemic hit and I thought everything would stop. Instead, Wellbeing Assistant Felicity, took the group online with a weekly session and it has been a real life saver for me. Good for both my mental health and artistic development.

We work to themes, something I’ve never done before, and it has really stretched and developed my creativity working on a variety of projects all based on autumn colours. I now love developing projects in a variety of different media and seeing how it all comes together and watching how other peoples’ work on the same theme can be so different to mine, and yet so inspiring. Talking with others in the group has also been so important during all this enforced self isolation.”

Making your mark is one of our regular Wellbeing groups and is a weekly fun and safe creative space for patients, carers and families who want to meet with others who like making. A big thank you to Jacky for sharing her experience of the programme with us.
