If you have any questions concerning live results\, please ensure that you have e-mailed this to us by midday on the following Thursday. Any changes submitted after this time will not be included in the final results. \nAge restrictions: England athletics govern the age restrictions for all our races. On the day of the race\, you must be the following age for each distance: \n5K: 11 years of over \n10k: 15 years or over \nCan I change my distance after I start running? \nIf you would like to drop down to a shorter distance\, due to the England Athletics rules\, you will need to ensure that you have changed your distance before the race. \nYou can still do this on the day\, but please ensure you have informed the times and/or the Race Director so they can manually amend your race entry and so that you receive an accurate time instead of a DNF (Did not finish). If the lower distance is at full capacity\, then you may not be able to collect a medal for your new distance: the Race Director will be able to confirm. \nIf you would like to upgrade your entry to a longer distance after you start running\, sadly this is not possible. However\, if you know you would like to swap to the longer distance before the race begins\, then please speak to the Race Director who will advise if the race has capacity to support this. If this is possible\, there will be a difference to pay. \nRunning with a buggy: yes\, it will be possible to run with a buggy\, just please always be aware or other runners. \nCan I walk the event? Yes\, this is an inclusive event\, so if you wish to participate and walk some or all of the distance\, you can. Please position yourself near the back at the start of the event so that those wishing to run are ahead of you. \nRace organiser: This is a Nice Work race fully organised and delivered by their wonderful team. You can contact Nice Work on info@nice-work.org.uk \nFirst aid provision: First Aid will be in attendance for the duration of the race. Should you feel unwell at any stage of the race\, please do not hesitate to wave down a marshal and they will call First Aid for you and ensure you are well cared for. If you are unable to make your way to the next marshal point\, please advise a fellow runner and ask them to notify a marshal of your location. \nYour health and fitness\nBefore attempting to race we ask that you make sure you are 100% fit to do so. If you feel unwell or are carrying an injury\, we would strongly recommend not taking part and only return to running once you feel fully fit to do so. If you are unsure if you are fit to run\, please speak to your doctor. \nPhotographer \nThere will be volunteer photographers at the event capturing pictures on the day to use in marketing. These may be shared on our social media and website. If you do not wish to be photographed\, please inform the event team on the day. \nDeferrals \nWe are pleased to let you know that deferrals to next year or another Nice Work race are possible for this event\, providing that there are still places available in your chosen race. Here’s what you need to know: \nDeferral deadlines\n10:00 on the Friday before race day. \nDeferral costs\nA deferral will incur a £5 donation plus any difference in race fee. \nRaces you can defer to\nYou can defer to the same race in the following year. \nDeferral process \nContact HospiceRun@stmichaelshopsice.com with your full name so we can process this for you. \nDeferral limit\nThere is no limit to the number of deferrals you can make but you will incur a deferral charge for each one. \nChanging distance within the same race\nPlease note\, if you are looking to change distance but remain in the same race on the same date\, then please get in touch with us on HospiceRun@stmichaelshospice.com as we can manage this change for you manually and\, under these circumstances only\, ensure that you are not incorrectly charged a deferral fee. If you have any problems then please don’t hesitate to let us know and we will be happy to help. \nTransfers to another runner: Sadly\, we are unable to offer this for this event. \nRefunds: We do not offer refunds for this this event. \nMerchandise: At the point of signing up you will be offered a free St Michael’s Hospice(SMH) running vest to wear on the day. If you would like a SMH cotton t-shirt as an alternative\, this can be arranged. There will be an optional donation of £5.00 for this. To order one please contact: HospiceRun@stmichaelshospice.com \nRace number: You race number will be posted out to you and will arrive approximately 1-2 weeks before the event. If you have not received your race bib by post then this is most likely because you are a relatively late registration and your bib number will be available to collect from the registration team at Race HQ on the morning of the race. Whilst we will have a fantastic team on site to facilitate this\, we still ask that you please allow plenty of time to make your collection before the race begins. Please note\, if you have already received your race number in the post then you do not need to visit the team at race registration on the day. If you are a relatively late entry and have registered close to race day or if you need to collect a new race bib for any reason\, then we recommend taking a screenshot of your booking confirmation email with your details on it to present to the team on the day. We get to run in some beautiful places but this can mean that internet and phone signals can be difficult. \nPlease remember to complete your medical information on the reverse of your number before you race. This is a life-saving racing requirement for your own safety. \nWeather update: As this is event is taking place in January and along the seafront. Please ensure you dress appropriately for the day. You can bring layers to wear at the start and if needed\, these can be dropped off on route with the any of the marshals\, who will donate them to the St Michael’s Hospice Retail Team. \nIf you have your SMG running vest\, this can be worn over long sleeved tops to provide extra warmth and protection\, but ensure you are still fully branded on the day. \nPhone reception: Due to the remote location of the Race HQ\, phone signal can be unreliable. Please make sure you download a copy of your booking confirmation to your phone before you arrive.
