Companionship
Through our volunteers, we can provide companionship to people out in the community, either face-to-face or over the telephone (or even via a digital meeting).
This initiative is fundamentally aimed at supporting people who are feeling isolated, wanting to connect, but can also be of assistance with small household tasks such as mowing the lawn, picking up some shopping, walking the dog etc.

The Big Draw
Join us for a selection of free drawing workshops this October half-term!
Workshops will be led by some local artists who designed sculptures for the Hospice’s Follow that Duck art trail.
All sessions will run from 10.30am – 1.30pm and there will be refreshments available. Click here for full details.
Saturday Socials
Held on the last Saturday of the month in the AEC at St Michaels Hospice.
We know that weekends can be very difficult if you are alone or feeling lonely so we open our doors and offer excellent coffee, delicious bakes and a friendly face. Everyone is welcome and from 10am – 12 pm the place comes alive with lots of chat and plenty of fresh coffee.
Thursday Coffee Stop
Every Thursday morning from 10am-12pm we are opening up our Reception café area as a Coffee Stop.
This is being hosted by our Compassionate Communities team and is part of the warm space network across Hastings.
We are keen to welcome people who may be finding times hard, want to connect, have a warm drink and a chat, or spend a bit of time in a safe, shared space, free of charge.
We would love to see you on Thursdays from 10am until 12pm.

Shop Socials
Visit the Compassionate Communities team at their their pop-up coffee mornings across our six high street shops. You’ll be able to browse through some good quality, pre-loved items and network with your local community.
Shop volunteers and employees will also be available for a tea and a chat, or for assistance with your shopping requests.
