Multi Faith Room 01

Spiritual Support

I found the spiritual support team a source of strength because they gave me the time and freedom to talk about my own thoughts and feelings regardless of any religious beliefs. Patient

Spirituality will mean different things to different people, there is not one understanding, it is as individual as you are. However you find meaning, the Spiritual Support team can support you in exploring your own sense of self.

If you or your family or friends feel talking and sharing with someone our Spiritual Support Lead or trained volunteer are available to spend time with you. This may be about your life, beliefs, values, experiences and fears, or if you have concerns or observations relating to your illness that may be as distressing as any physical symptoms.

Our full-time Spiritual Support Lead works closely with local faith leaders, and can arrange for them to visit you and your family at the Hospice. Spiritual and religious care is available to everyone using the Hospice's services.

We also have a designated multi-faith/quiet room for patients and their families to pray, worship, or for quiet reflection. There is a range of texts and artefacts available as well as a music docking station and access to the internet.
