What is the role

You will be an integral part of our Clinical and Wellbeing teams, supporting staff to become pro-active and ‘research-aware’, as you approach and engage with patients to assess their openness to collaboration with research opportunities.

This is an innovative role connecting staff, patients and carers through the research process, and piloting research within the St Michael's Hospice environment.

Role tasks
  • Making initial contact, and engaging with potential participants within a Hospice environment
  • Informing patients about the nature of our research, and of its’ vital role in improving Hospice services
  • Updating patient records, to indicate whether patients are open to participation
  • Liaising with a broad multi-disciplinary research team to support the facilitation of research opportunities
