The Accumulator Challenge

We are asking individuals, students, schools and workplaces, to put their inner entrepreneur to the test and challenge themselves to raise funds for St Michael’s Hospice. We will even provide £50 to start things off!

If your idea is one of our 20 selected finalists, we’ll give you £50 to put your plan into action and raise as much money as possible for St Michael’s Hospice. You will then have three months to invest and reinvest and, who knows, you might even turn £50 into £5,000.

Speculate to Accumulate!

You could hold a one off activity or use your raised funds to reinvest into even bigger ideas, such as…

Spend the £50 to stock a series of tuck shops at work or school – Raise £200

Reinvest £50 to buy materials for a car wash – raise £300

Reinvest £150 to hire a hall and DJ for a roller disco – raise £500

Reinvest £300 to hold a Charity Dinner and Auction – raise £1,500

Getting Started
-    Complete and return the registration form, with an outline of your business proposition, by midnight Sunday 12th November 2017. Please use additional space for your proposal if required. You may also send additional information by email.

-    Please provide a business proposal explaining how you’ll turn £50 into a much larger amount. Be as unique and innovative as possible – this is your chance to pitch your idea and become one of our 20 finalists!

-    20 finalists will be notified by Friday 17th November 2017 with £50 paid by Friday 24th November 2017.

-    Open for business from Friday 1st December 2017 – Thursday 1st March 2018, after which all monies raised should be paid to St Michael’s Hospice.

Project Leader
Whether you are an individual, business, school or team of family and friends, you must provide the details of the Project Leader who will be responsible for project coordination and compliance with the rules of The Accumulator Challenge. The rules are available below. This person will also act as the main contact with St Michael’s Hospice. By registering and participating in The Accumulator Challenge, you agree to comply with rules.


Payments will be made by bank transfer only and bank account details will be requested if you proposal is successful.
