How to get there: From Hastings take the A28 to Ashford. Shortly before you reach the village of Brede there is a narrow lane on the left signposted Waterworks (look out for the yellow Open Gardens sign). For the Broad Oak gardens carry on to the crossroads at Broad Oak, turn left onto Chitcombe Road, the gardens will be signposted.
This is a great opportunity to discover the Brede Steam Giants 35ft Edwardian water pumps, Grade II listed pump house and secret bunker!
